People’s Park is located in the High Town area of Luton. It has a green space with a playground and playing fields, and woodlands at the top. In between is a grassy slope that’s good for sunbathing in the summer and sledging in the winter.

Exact definitions vary, but People’s Park technically has two parts – Bell’s Close on the Havelock Road side, and Pope’s Meadow on the Old Bedford Road side. Locally however, People’s Park generally refers to the Bell’s Close half, and Pope’s Meadow is where the fireworks are.

People’s Park has distinctive avenues of trees, a well appointed playground, and a disused toilet block and changing rooms building – and that’s where our cafe will be.
