If you come down to the park this week, you’ll see that we decorated the old changing rooms as part of High Town Advent windows.

It’s a collaborative enterprise, with 100 year 1 children at St Matthew’s Primary School adding their messages of hope for Luton, written on little stars.

We’re day 21 of the High Town window advent calendar and our topic was ‘gifts’. There are a lot of those at Christmas, but our particular dream is to turn this old changing room block into a cafe for the benefit of everyone in the community. The park itself was a gift to the people more than 150 years ago. Hopefully, People’s Park Cafe will continue that legacy of generosity and be a gift to High Town in the near future.
